Changes to the U.S. Visa System Starting December 7: What You Need to Do Before December 4

To ensure that your appointment and payment information are successfully transferred to the new system, please make sure to complete the following actions on or before December 4, 2024:

1. Check and Update Your Profile Information: Ensure all your personal details are accurate and up-to-date.

2. Visa Application Fee Payment: If you plan to pay the visa application fee, please complete the payment on or before December 4th. Regular services, including appointment scheduling and fee payment, will be suspended from December 5th to 6th.

3. Payment via Hong Kong 711: If you have chosen to pay the visa application fee through Hong Kong 711, please complete the payment on or before December 3rd.

4. Binding Paid Visa Fees to Profiles: Applicants who have paid the visa fee but have not yet linked it to their profiles should log in to their profiles on or before December 4th and bind it by entering the receipt number.

5. Crucial Point!! Applicants who have already paid the fee and scheduled appointments for interviews after December 7th must re-register in the new system. The registration email must match the previous one to associate with the payment and appointment information.

Additional Reminders:

1. User Experience in the New System: The new system may have a more complicated user experience compared to the old one, including setting up three security questions during registration and requiring answers to two randomly selected questions each time you log in.

2. Payment Challenges: Some users may encounter challenges during payment. Therefore, it is recommended to prepare in advance and fill in the information patiently.

3. Interview Waiver Renewal: If you are eligible for an interview-waiver renewal (e.g., your expired US visa is within 24 months and you meet other relevant requirements), consider renewing as soon as possible to avoid potential future appointment and payment difficulties.
